Coffee Production Worker         

Job Summary

We’re looking for a reliable and efficient Coffee Production Worker to join our team. In this role, you’ll perform a variety of routine production tasks such as labeling bags and packaging coffee. You’ll play an important part in the manufacturing process, helping ensure our coffee is prepared accurately and reaches customers fresh and on time.

Secondary responsibilities include supporting our delivery driver by completing local wholesale deliveries once a week and covering deliveries when the primary driver is on vacation. You’ll also provide daily customer service, alongside the rest of the production team, by assisting customers who visit the roastery to purchase coffee.

Responsibilities

Coffee Production & Quality Control

  • Identify and inventory all coffee varieties, including specific custom roasts, ensuring comprehensive knowledge of the product.

  • Operate and maintain all production equipment, including scales, weigh/fill machines, sealers, box formers/tapers, and grinders.

  • Monitor and maintain stringent quality standards for all coffee throughout the entire production cycle.

  • Accurately measure and weigh coffee to fulfill production requirements per documented specifications.

  • Ensure packaging integrity by properly sealing coffee bags and conducting a thorough quality check on the seal of every finished unit.

  • Apply correct labels and utilize appropriate packaging (bags/boxes) according to detailed work instructions and order specifications.

Logistics & Workflow Management

  • Follow and execute production schedules and invoices to ensure accurate quantities and priority are met for all orders.

  • Package finished coffee orders efficiently according to various shipping methods and courier requirements.

  • Generate and apply appropriate shipping labels for multiple courier services.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet defined production targets and critical deadlines.

 Retail & Operational Support

  • Provide excellent customer service, including expertly explaining different coffee origins, roast profiles, and accurately handling sales transactions.

  • Organize and maintain a clean and sanitary production area at all times.

  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, quality control standards, and hygiene practices.

  • Communicate effectively and proactively with team members and management.

  • Be capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Energetic, self-motivated, and goal-oriented, consistently demonstrating dependability and a strong work ethic.

  • Flexible and adaptable, with the proven ability to multitask effectively and thrive in highly demanding, fast-paced environments.

  • Collaborative team player successful at building rapport and cooperating effectively to achieve shared objectives.

  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.

  • Minimum of 1 year of driving experience is preferred; comfortable driving a sprinter van.

Working Hours

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Compensation

Starting at $23/hour, 30-min paid lunch break, plus 3 weeks of paid vacation and extended health and dental benefits after 3 months.
